Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND)
Milby Nursery & Kids' is committed to the inclusion of all children. We provide a positive welcoming environment where children are supported according to their individual needs ensuring no children are discriminated against or put at a disadvantage as a consequence of their needs.
We have a named Special Educational Needs/Disability Coordinator (SENDCO) who has the overall responsibility to coordinate the settings SEND provision and approach.
The setting works closely with other professionals such as Speech Therapists, Integrated Disability Service (IDS), Psychologists etc to ensure the very best outcomes for the children in our care.

With big thanks to The Councillor's Grant Fund, we were awarded a small grant towards our latest project. We have created a sensory den in our outside area to support children with their emotional regulation, sensory needs and stimulation, provide a place where a child can safely practice their coping skills etc.
