This is where our younger children from two years of age are based. The environment is divided into different learning areas. Messy Area A place to get creative and very messy! Activities and resources on offer include malleable activities such as playdough, cornflour, pasta, painting, sand play, glueing and sticking. Sensory Area Treasure baskets to explore, different textures, smells and natural materials. A place to hide and be cosy and play with instruments that create different sounds. Book and Story Area A comfy, cosy area to relax and be restful. A place to look at books and share a story with a grown-up. Home Corner A homely area with resources and equipment that are familiar to children. From pretending to cook dinner to relaxing on the sofa, a place where even young children begin to role play and interact with others. Toilet Area The toilet area ajoins both rooms. We have low level toilets and basins to allow children to be independant. There is a nappy changing unit and an area for children to use potties whilst they are toilet training.
